At present the Miory Region specializes in agribusiness. There are 18 agricultural companies: 13 agricultural manufacturing cooperatives, 2 PUPKS, the municipal unitary enterprise Yazno, Miory Region Agroservice, the branch Povyatye of the Miory fodder mill, 11 farming enterprises. The tillable land is as large as 65,832 hectares, area under crops – 40,315 hectares.

Since 2005 nine agro-towns have been commissioned with a view to implementing the Rural Revival and Development program.
