Agriculture is the backbone of the local economy. There are 14 agricultural enterprises and 18 farms in the district.
Miory District specializes in crop production (grain, potatoes) and animal husbandry (milk and meat).
In accordance with the State Program for the Revival and Development of the Village for 2005-2010, 12 agro-towns were built in the district.
